Satruday Scrapbook Challenge #5

Welcome back! Are you ready for another Saturday Scrapbook Challenge? I went with a sketch challenge. As always, feel free to tweak the sketch to however suits you. And make sure to leave us a link, as we enjoy seeing what everyone is making and leaving comments and encouragement. Okay, on to the sketch:

And here is the layout I made using the sketch. I liked how many spaces there were available for either pictures or paper, as well as that long journaling spot on the side. I've found myself journaling more and more lately. I really want my family to know the story behind the pictures long after I've forgotten the story. If journaling isn't really something you like to do, again, modify the sketch to whatever suits you.

We hope you find some time to play along, and make sure to link up if you do! If you upload to an online gallery, use the keyword inspiredsketch5. Enjoy your Saturday, I hope it's a crafty one!

Saturday Scrapbook Challenge #4

Hi, Susan here. Happy Saturday! This week's layout is a double page layout. It incorporates quite a few photos. I thought it would be great because you could take advantage of this layout if you have some holiday or other special occasion photos just waiting to be scrapped. Or, if you don't want to do a 2 page Layout, just choose one of the pages. It's up to you!

I found this layout on the Page Maps site. It's an old one, from November 2007. You can get a direct link HERE.

When you are finished with your project you can use Mr Linky below. Or if you are uploading to an online gallery please use the key word Inspired Sketch #4.

Can't wait to see what you all create! Have fun!

Saturday Scrapbook Challenge #3

Morning All! I am so excited to be hosting this weeks scrapbook challenge....and I've decided to go sketchless! This weeks challenge is to find a magazine advertisment that inspires you in some way. It can be the layout, colors, shapes....whatever you find inspiring. My layout was inspired by this page in a Longaberger catalog.  I was inspired by the way the different size photos nestled together.

Here is my layout.

Feel free to use the Longaberger page as your starting point or choose one of your own. Be sure to post the advertisment that inspired you along with your layout. Have fun and remember when you are finished just link your project to Mr. Linky here. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use keyword inspired sketch3.

Saturday Scrapbook Sketch Challenge # 2

Here at Inspired Crafters we are trying to get more organized and get more stamping and scrapbooking done this year. So here is this week's sketch. This sketch was originally sketch # 23 on 52 Weeks 52 Sketches, and can now be found on Julie Bonner's blog. Since I only got about 2 of them done, and I only know ONE person who has done them all (way to go Chris!) I thought it would be okay to use this one.

When you are finished just link your project to Mr. Linky here. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use keyword inspired sketch2.

ICCJAN10 - Christmas Card Challenge for January

Good Morning Everyone!!
Welcome to the first of the Christmas Card Challenges by Inspired Crafters. I wanted to start off with a simple sketch.

The challenge is to use the following sketch to create Christmas/Holiday Cards. I know, I know..Christmas just went by :) But it is good to start from the beginning of the year and build up a stash of cards so that you are not stressed out at the year end :) So do not put away those stamps just yet :). If you want set a goal of making more than one cards, that is just awesome and it is up to the individual. But please do make at least one holiday card using this sketch.

This sketch was inspired by one of the cards that my friend Chris had sent me during 2008 Holiday. WOW!! Time is flying past.

Please use the Mr.Linky at the bottom of the post to link your card or blog post. There is no time limit for our challenges and you can have as many entries as you want to.
If you would like to post the picture of sketch on your blog that is great, but please save the image to your computer first and then upload it to your blog.
If you are uploading your card to Splitcoaststampers, Papercraftplanet or any other public gallery, please use the Keyword ICCJAN10.

Here is my sample,

I did 4 of these cards using one sheet of 8x8 DSP cut into 4 - 4x4 pieces and one sheet of Green Card stock for the 4 1/8 x 4 1/8 mat. Two red card stock gave me 4 card bases. I used my left over white scrap for the image and sentiments. Also you will need about 4.5 yards of ribbon.

Supplies:
Stamp - Justrite Merry Christmas Stamp Set
Paper - PTI Rustic Snowflakes DP, PTI Pure Poppy and Vintage Cream CS, SU Green CS
Ink - Memento Black, PTI Pure Poppy, Copic Spica Glitter Markers
Other - May Arts Ribbon, Circle Punches, SU Word Window Punch
